Royal Festival Hall –
10 June 2007

The Royal Festival Hall in London reopened in June 2007 after two years of restoration and redevelopment. Over the weekend of 08 - 10 June 2007 a series of musical events called The Overture was held, involving performances by approximately 18,000 people.

Together with The Angmering Chorale, we were invited to participate. On Sunday 10 June we sang several pieces from The Armed Man : A Mass for Peace, by Karl Jenkins. Later we took part in a chorus of approximately 1,300 singers to perform the last movement of Beethoven’s Choral Symphony (No. 9), with the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Paul Daniel.
